We supply our shipbuilding plate materials to yachtbuilders, as well as Machining Centers in the Americas. As a knowledgeable yacht owner and builder you probably know that aluminium is the material of choice. Why? On the one hand, aluminium has a great strength-to-weight ratio and weighs 1/3 of mild steel only. It is easy to machine, form and weld. On the other hand, the material is known for its strength, impact resistance and non corrosive properties.

Hardness (HB) versus bending

As most SBP are bent, we are pursuing to achieve hardness values on the lower end of   EN-485 to allow sharp bending radii.
